Using a Video Wall at the Digital Signage World Expo

Sydney - New South Wales Australia

Solution Video Wall
Industry Digital Signage Exhibition Event
Date & location 2011 - Digital Signage World

What we delivered

This was our very first time we exhibited at a Digital Signage Exhibition. In order to stand out from other exhibitors, we setup a 2×2 Video Wall each displaying different content. On one screen we displayed our Social Media profiles, showcasing our Facebook and Twitter Feeds. We also included FourSquare checkin to show who was actually at the exhibition.

The solution was designed to create a high impact display experience for communication, presentation, and visual engagement.

The challenge

The challenge was to create a display experience that looked professional, performed reliably, and suited the visibility requirements of the location.

The content and screen layout needed to work together so the display felt integrated into the space rather than simply added to it.

The solution needed to suit the environment, be simple for people to understand, and give the client a practical way to manage information after the initial installation or launch.

Key requirements

  • Clarity: Information needed to be easy to read, understand, and act on.

Our approach

The interface and content structure were shaped around the existing project requirements so the final experience felt purposeful and easy to follow.

How the experience worked

  1. Project context was reviewed: We considered the site, audience, content needs, and the role the solution needed to play.
  2. The experience was configured: Display layout, content presentation, and viewing requirements were configured for the site.
  3. Users engaged with the solution: People in the area could see key information on a prominent digital display.
  4. The client retained control: The client could keep the solution useful by updating content when required.
  5. The outcome was ready for everyday use: The final result supported clearer communication and a more professional experience.

From a user perspective, the experience needed to be clear, direct, and easy to trust.
