Over the years, Advertise Me has integrated with different third-party systems and tools and we’ve created an Integration page to keep track of this. What is integration? Integration is when pieces of software work together. Usually, this means sending and receiving information to and from a third piece of software that both services use. For example, when you click on an Instagram link in Facebook, the two integrate and your browser opens the Instagram URL. Apart from linking different pieces of software, integration can also mean connecting software to a third-party data source. For example, we have integrated our digital signage with an EMS system (Event Management System) to obtain room booking information and display this on a digital board or digital kiosk. Here’s an example:
Software integrations are an important part of how the software works, languages and protocols were invented specifically to facilitate it. The most popular ones are XML, REST and JSON. As the world of business becomes increasingly digitised, the need for effective digital solution integrations becomes more and more apparent. Companies must be able to effectively integrate digital solutions in order to remain competitive. Integrations between different software systems can have many benefits, including improved efficiency and productivity, reduced costs, and better data quality. When done well, integrations can help streamline workflows and make it easier for employees to access the information they need. Additionally, integrations can help reduce errors and improve data accuracy. When choosing to integrate different software systems, it is important to consider the needs of your business and choose a solution that will fit those needs.
Digital solution integrations can be a challenge, but there are a few key things to keep in mind that can help make the process go more smoothly. First, it’s important to have a clear understanding of the company’s goals and objectives. What are the company’s pain points? What are the areas that need improvement? Once these things are understood, it’s easier to identify which digital solutions will be the most effective. It’s also important to consider the user experience when integrating digital solutions. The goal should be to make the experience as seamless and user-friendly as possible. After all, if the user experience is poor, it’s likely that the solution will not be used to its full potential.
Digital signage integrations are a great way to improve communication and efficiency in your workplace. By integrating digital signage into your existing network, you can display important information and announcements to employees and visitors alike. Additionally, digital signage can be used to provide wayfinding and directions, improving traffic flow and reducing congestion. That’s why we built our Digital Wayfinding Solution which helps guide visitors, staff and employees to their destination. Here’s an example of our Digital Wayfinding Solution for a hospital:
Using Social Wall to display social posts and integrating with digital signage systems are other popular integration requests we get. The process of integration usually follows these steps:
1. Determine what information will be displayed on the social media wall and which social media accounts will be used. Configure the social media wall to display the desired content on the digital signage system.
2. Change the settings on the Social Wall dashboard to set pixel width, height, number of columns, auto scroll, auto page refersh, and whether the social wall is responsive. You can read more about these settings on the Social Wall User Guide
3. Add the Social Wall on the digital signage software system such as AdvertiseMe.TV
Here’s an example of a digital signage integration with Social Wall:
The benefits of integrating digital solutions with third party systems and tools are many. By integrating, businesses can save time and money, while also improving efficiency and productivity. In addition, integration can help to create a more seamless customer experience
